I'm happy to see all the positive comments. I too was a LEGOmaniac as a kid. My wife knew this and got me this model as a Xmas gift.
I have finished the first of three books. Yesterday, the rear suspension was built along with the limited slip diff, the half-shafts and the engine block. This whole rear subframe was then mated to the rest of the chassis. You may notice, the car has NO brakes.
Here you can see the diff, half-shafts, the A arms and the hubs.
Yes, yes, it's a V8. This is the crankshaft, con-rods and pistons just before they went into the block.
The V8 block is a stressed member and you can almost see the inboard mounted shocks.
Roughly 6 hours into the build. More pics on my progress later today.

~12 hours over 4 days.
1140 pieces.
That was fun. The attention to detail is very cool. The mirrors, the radiators, adjustable rear wing to the working steering and suspension. The half-shafts, the working differential the Volk TE37s.
Onto the finished product, I apologize in advance for the sh!tty photos they just don't do the build justice.
I'm hoping to get a feature article in a magazine soon!!!
Thanks for watching.
