Default New Thread; Old Thread

I have posted a thread for this car before. I have deleted it before. I am making this thread to give me a log of when I did stuff to the car. Hello again, all.

5 March 2016. Bought car. Rusty. 135xxx miles. Clean title, no crashes, mostly stock (three sets of wheels (OEM AP1 w/ SPENT ZII, AP2V2 with something, crappy enkeis w/ snow tires), K&N FIP, some old Pioneer headunit, and a tow hitch). Had rust 'repaired' in May 2016 (hopefully someday I'll replace the quarter panels).

September 2016. Lowered the car on HKS Hipermav IV GT. October 2017 I lower the car further, to the height below.

Winter 2016/17. Stuff begins to arrive for the car. 17x9 +45 Advan RGIII. 255/40/17 RT615K+. J's Racing Lip/Canards (ordered these before I bought the car). J's 60RS (never installed). Recaro PP ABE (never installed). EVS HFC 63mm (a purchase I would regret if not for the sweet rattle from the OEM CC).

June 2017. Fenders rolled, pulled, and Advans mounted on the car.

August 2017. J's lip/canards mounted/painted. (Also a banner I had forgotten all about)

Winter 2017. I buy my first CP035, Mugen header & catback, Craftsquares, and CWest eye line kit.

April 2018. Exhaust installed. CP035 first test fit (again, only one wheel).

Late April 2018. Two more CP035 acquired.

May 2018. Craftsquares installed. More CP035 test fit.

April 2019. New OEM 04-05 valve cover and carbon plug cover a friend striped for me.

May 2019. Sold Advans and bought Panasport G7C5C2, 17x7.5 +30 for fronts, to be paired with CP035 in rear. Probably the worst look the car has had. Run with 215/45/17 S007A on Panasport, 245/40 S007A on CP035.

June/July 2019. Fourth CP035 acquired and Shine Auto J's style sideskirts purchased.

September 2019. Pair of 17x10 +45 Advan Model T7 acquired.

February 2020. Bought one Weds TC05. Someday I'll find more. Also bought two 17x9 +42 Watanabe RS Racing to replace Panasport G7C5C2. I used 215/45 S007A from panas on these, the 245/40 S007A from CP035 moved to T7. T7 refinished in 'Alien Silver' with 'Ghost' Clear Coat.

May-June 2020. Wheels mounted, lowered ride height.

August 2021. I mounted my beat up old VIS J's style hood that I picked up on a song years prior (I don't know when, probably mid-2019). I also seem to be mocking up the sideskirts.

Winter 2021. I sell Watanabe. Get CP035 acid stripped and repainted some old Toyota White. Also bought one old Volk Challenge. I'll someday find another. Oh and a pair of Work Emotion CR Kai. I need more of them too.

More winter 2021. I bought more aero and wheels. Advan Kreuzer V 17x9 to replace the Watanabe RS Racing. Had those refinished to match the T7 and moved the S007A one more time. Aero bits, Feel's and GP Sports.

Wheels w/ pooch.

It is astonishing how little I take photos of this car.

September 2022. Aero painted and installed. CP035 mounted w/ 225/45 Falken Azenis RT660.

October 2022. Put some crappy all-seasons on the CR Kai and took it to a skid pad day. Taking it to another shortly. Here is hoping I learn to drive without damaging anything.

I also do not have any photos of that. To be updated later I reckon.

V2023 will change even less than this car normally changes because I like the car as it sits for the first time.

Thank you! And yep, it is. I’ve never liked it on another S2000 but thought it would flow well with how I’ve styled the car. I’m happy with the results.

Thank you!

Here are the aforementioned CR Kai. Good car, mixing tires seems as bad as people say in terms of how the car drives…but I’m not looking to hurt the diff or attempt to break loose with sticky tires. Will stick to temporary and off-road use for these.

Attempted to pull this car out of storage a couple of weeks ago and found the hydraulic system had decided to give up the ghost. I’ll be replacing that at some point when I have a free weekend to get to the car and work on it.

In the meantime, I pulled my other car out of storage and put some HKS Hipermax coilovers on it as well. Having this around and looking better has reduced the urgency for S2000 access.

Swapped out the clutch and master for new OEM units and tossed in a Sakebomb braided clutch line. Car drives nicely, I want to adjust where the clutch engages in the pedal's travel a bit as I put it a bit too high, but that is no huge rush.

Proceeded to bring the car out as a support vehicle for my friend attending a skidpad event in his Miata with newly installed ITBs.

His car is extremely good:

That Miata really is good, but your car is better. I love those CP035s.

I have changed nothing since the last update. Car will probably be parked in the next couple weeks for the winter and next summer I hope to go through most of the rubber in the suspension and make the car drive as well as I can.

To celebrate a successful summer, we took it on a long day trip.

Here is car. I really wish the seats had better lumbar support. That is the most tiresome trait of the car for me.
