Yeah...people that are serious about Autocross only modify their cars for autocross since extra mods end up kicking them into higher classes.

I just do it so I can get my on

So sick. Love the widebody. The trunk with the molded wing looks nice. The wing definitely fits your ride.

Is this your first time AutoX nick? My friend keeps asking me and I've turned him down for a couple years now. Lots of local s2ks started to join and I go out and watch them. More affordable as well $30-40 a day vs $250-275 a track day. I guess no harm in trying?

This is about my 6th or 7th time. I went to this same Novice school with my friends like 3 years ago. Since then, I've been to a few Porsche Club Practices and one open Autocross @ Autoclub Speedway. I went to this school again cuz we had a couple friends that just got new cars and wanted to do it with instruction. Plus the school gets you alot more seat time (full day as opposed to half-day during practices).

It's definitely alot more cost-effective. The downside is you get ALOT less seat time than at a track day where you are constantly lapping around. I like both for different reasons though. Autocrossing requires you to think MUCH quicker and be alot more critical about how you approach and handle each element imo. It's safer. It's also alot more community oriented since everyone is always asking each other for pointers on how they handled the course...and you have to work the course just as much as you drive it.

Track days are alot more fun due to the seat time and speeds you see...but alot more expensive, usually alot farther away, and wears on your car/brakes/tires alot faster. This year, I'm going to try to hit more auto-crosses with the occasional track day (one every 2-3 months) so I don't break the bank (or my car).
