We're gonna need raincoats, huh...
I look forward to it.
She looks splendid, man...I know you probably are beating yourself up for it...but honestly, I see your commitment as a testament to your dedication to the sport. You're the perfect combination of Axle Rose, Slash, and Miley Cyrus...rockstar twerk but also talented and committed. I respect that.

So a lot has happened since the last actual update:
Either the car is cursed, or I am. Most people would just hang up their keys, park the car, and give up........
BUT I DON'T GIVE A FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK
Round three:
With the help of my friends, we banged out the fender, zip tied and duct taped everything together, and kept on trucking. Another 500 miles and we finally made it. Fontana Dam, NC.
Over the weekend, I pushed the car hard enough to tear a control arm bushing and destroy a motor mount on the dragon itself. The car simply did not give a f@#k, and kept on trucking. With the new suspension and tires, it felt absolutely monstrous on the mountain roads of North Carolina. I was able to push the car harder than I ever though I would, even if I hadn't just gotten in an accident.

This trip has opened my eyes to three important things:
With that being said, I got the car home safe with no further issues and parked it. I've secured a new fender, two sets of headlights, both headlight brackets, new mirrors, the full Energy Suspension bushing kit for all the A-arms and mounts, Innovative Mounts 75A Billet Aluminum motor mounts, and all the little things that put this stuff together. By the time I'm done, the car will be as I've always wanted but was too lazy or busy to make it. It should be tight as a drum, and ready to drive at the limit again.
I plan on pulling the control arms out this weekend, cleaning them, pushing out the old bushings, and re-coating the wheel wells. I also plan on pulling the interior behind the seats out of the car, and replacing it with a bulkhead bar and some simple yet effective black carpet to cover the bare metal. I'll be photographing the progress as I go along.
The emphasis has changed with this car now. I will be making an effort to lighten this car as much as possible, without making it look like some kind of "rat rod" S2000. I'll be removing a lot of unnecessary weight in an effort to do that. I sold the Haltech ECU, and instead plan on doing a built rear end with a different gear ratio. This should even the playing field between me and those pesky AP2s.
PS:
Special thanks go out to Bryan (APoner), Courtney, CJ (TooSoon), Eddie (Mack21), Doug (DougEFresh), Matt (baZurk), Marcos, Andrew (JustinBieber), Steve (LOL //steve\\), Kevin (av8ter), Matt (EL S2000), Toyo (Tphong), and all their significant others that picked me up and kept me going. I had an amazing time, and it's all entirely thanks to you guys. These trips are more about seeing friends than driving, and it's amazing to find out just how truly great you all are in person. Thanks guys.
An extra special thanks to Doug, and Eddie for letting me drink your moonshine, and Courtney for letting me throw up in your car.
- I put my car into a wall at PBIR during a track day. (LOL)
- I bought new coilovers. Challenge Comp+ with 700 lb/in Hyperco springs. (Thanks Sameed!)
- I bought new tires. Dunlop Direzza ZII 255/40/17 x4
- I fixed the track damage the day before I left for the Dragon trip.
- I pretended to hit something on the highway. You know, as a joke.
- I actually hit something. Not as a joke. It was a large Lexus SUV.

This trip has opened my eyes to three important things:
- I have the best friends in entire the goddamn world.
- This car is an engineering masterstroke that will never be replicated.
- This particular example is old, and needs a serious going through.
