Saving a AP1 + low budget = track car
I have been wanting an s2ooo since my friend's mom got one in 99 (No I didn't bang her) (yet)
Found this s2ooo on Craigslist for 4k, low balled the guy. He accepted $2,5oo for the running totaled prior salvage 03 AP1. I closed the deal while hiking a mountain in Washington, had a friend inspect it, call a tow truck then bring it to my shop. Fast forward a few weeks, I finally got to see the car.
I'm from North Dakota, this car is OG from Florida so hopefully has seen less salt. Car looks like its been hit in the ass, poorly fixed, then hit in the front, poorly fixed then totalled again bad by going over a curb sideways into a guard rail.
Starts no problem! I ordered the LCA, hub, UCA, Axle, rotor, brake lines already. As parts come in I will be putting it together so I can drive it to an alignment shop to see how bad the frame is.
If the car is repairable I will be putting some huge over fender on it, turning it into a road race car, maybe running my TE37's that are too wide for my 10th gen.
Bent shit
New hub, I still need a shock if anyone has one they would sell. Or cheap coilovers
120k miles, pretty clean, light bolt ons
Tossed some 8th gen wheels on it for rollers till I can get something better.
Total spent so far;
Car 2,500
Axles, hub, brake lines, LCA/UCA, rotor, $400
2,900$

Looking for any advice of what you would do with that bad quarter. I was thinking of running a huge over fender that covers most of it.
Here are some other builds I'm currently working on as well.
1988 Crx Si - Built LS/vtec, turbo - 500hp
Just got painted. Ridgelines the DD
Just picked this up in July 2018 Si, kinda don't like it.. I might sell it.
One of my fav builds of all time, $300 Craigslist car, boosted it with junk I had laying around and ran a 12.50@107 on a y8. Now it has a turbo GSR with ITR tranny.

Pulling out the quarter
Bolted up the new axle, hub, brakes
Got some $100 evo 8 wheels with tires. The front hubs don't fit, so I'll have to get a spacer or something.

Have you considered cutting off the QP and replacing it? I know it'd be a ton of work but getting that QP anywhere near right seems like a TON of work?
Glad to see a car being saved from the crusher though.

Installed brake lines so I can finally drive the car. It got to warm up for the first time since 2017, so we did some victory drifting.
Parts I'm looking for still;
-AP1 drivers taillight
-AP1 Pass headlight
-AP2 front bumper
-CR lip
-Coilovers
-OEM seatbelts
-Aftermarket catback

I fixed the broken tabs on the passenger headlight, so one thing off the list of must-haves.
Parts ordered from Honda:
-Oem Drivers quarter panel
-Oem Ap2 front bumper
-Ngk plugs
The car will be wrapped similar to my Eg Zero build, so my goal is just to get the bodywork good enough to not show under the wrap.
