On 02-21-2014, my wife had issues with the RX.
Symptoms:
- Stuttering
- Couldn't get over 60 mph
- Stalled
CEL:
-P0300 - Random misfire
-P0302 - Misfire cylinder 2
Next steps:
- Ordering Coil Packs from MazMart.com:

RX8 OEM Coils Version C
N3H1-18-100C is the last and latest version of ignition coil for ALL years of RX-8. It became available on the 2012 RX-8 Spirit R. We sell these as a set of 4.
Manufacturer part number: N3H1-18-100C
Price: $250.00 / Set of 4
Wish me luck...
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Update: 3/5/2014: Coils came in and I am changing them now...
Mazmart Coils arrived in 2 business days using USPS 2 day shipping. Well worth it.
Quick DIY:
1. Remove Air Box, and all tubs that attach to it from the vehicle.
2. Remove Air Inlet and all tubes attached (3). BE VERY VERY CAREFUL NOT TO BRAKE ANY, but if you do its Mazda part FEMJ-13-758.
2. Remove small clip directly above coil #1.

3. Remove gray plugs at end of coils, gently.

4. Removed and replaced coils 1 for 1, starting from the inboard most coil (Coil 4 in the above picture).
My old Coils:

As you can see my Trailing Front and Trailing Rear coils are shot.

New coils from Mazmart:

5. Reconnect all clips
6. Reconnect intake parts
7. Start car, and bring to warm.
8. Go for a drive
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Update: 3/15/2014: RX8 for the first time drives as good as the S2000. Love to drive it. If anyone has an RX8, and they start to think it is loosing power, it is most likely the coils going bad. Drives like a champ.
