the install is plug and play, so it literally takes less than 5 minutes to install. As for tuning, I had Jei at blacktrax tune it for my SC setup, cost me $180 total, but you should reset the unit before using it. 
with Intake, Header, TP, and Exhaust, you can see gains upwards of 12 whp if tuned correctly with the VAFC.
