To sell or not to sell?

To sell or not to sell?
I I bought my first bike 7 years ago before I even got a car but I haven't been riding much in the past year or so due to time constraints and automobile performance driving. A buddy of a buddy, a motorcycle racing instructor, I went riding with once wants to buy my babies off me, my first bike and her slutty twin. My first bike was a 1989 NSR250 MC18, the bitch doesn't run due to the 3rd engine I've blown and I don't think I can source another one. The second one is a track whore 1993 NSR250 MC21. This one's got HRC goodies up the wazoo and is the kinda bike that your guardian angel can't keep up with. I was thinking about tracking it later but I'm too absorbed with cars at the moment so that won't happen for at least another year.
Now my questions is, do I sell them (MC18 is the street parts bike for the MC21) or do I hold on to my treasure? I don't have time for them but I love them still. I don't need the cash but I don't really have anywhere to put them (but that's not really a problem, my friends are more than happy to hold on to them for me). My first bike and my favorite bike both have provided me with memories that I wouldn't trade for the world.
Maybe it's time to let go... instead of having them rot away.

Every time I've been between bikes I was shortly jonesing for the next one. Naturally, I also regret selling most of the seven prior bikes I've owned. But if you are not going to be a life-long rider then let 'em run free.

you got the memories, quit while you are ahead and sell the bikes. dosnt seem you will be doing anything more memorable on the current hardware
couple of years down the line you will want to buy a another bike, get a 750, 1000 and more memories.

It would be such an easy decision if they were your typical Japanese sportbikes, but these are special and difficult to replace.
I rode a friend's grey market NSR250 in the Hill Country several years ago, and it was a hoot! I found myself turning in way too soon, the steering was so much sharper than any 4 stroke street bike I'd ridden. I don't think it was as great to live w/ as it was for a test ride, though.
W/o knowing more, I'd lean towards selling the street bike and keeping the track bike.
How 'bout posting some pics?

I'll post pics when I get home tonight. The bikes go together because the street run no longer runs as mentioned above...
Anybody know how much it's cost to get forks revalved/rebuilt and rust pits treated at Aftershocks? I'm going to get the bugger running like a champ before I make my final call.
Afterwards, I'm going to ride as hard as I ever did (the peak of my madness was about 3 years ago) up in the Berkeley hills and we'll see what kind of expression is on my face at the end, a faint smile conjured from the past or a commanding laughter of the present...
