Alignment shop recommendations?
Hey guys,
I recently just moved to the Bay Area and purchased an 02 S2k used with about 18k miles. When I test drove it, the car had a slight pull to the passenger side. The dealer has an alignment done before I picked the car up to correct the problem and it seemed ok. Now after about a month or two, the pull is feels like it is slowly coming back... I don't really want to just go to some chain tire shop since I'm worried there might be a more serious root cause. The car and everything I can visually inspect looks perfect. Its never been in an accident. The only thing out of the ordinary is that the original tires were replace with some crappy all-season Falkens (will be "fixed" soon).
Any recommendations on somewhere decent to take the car? Closer to Mt.View/Sunnyvale the better.
Thanks!
Mike

Are your tire pressures okay? Maybe you have a slow leak.

in mountain view, you can goto custom alignments. They do a GREAT job, but it is also pricy... 4 wheel alignment will cost you about $200. They do a lot of race car alignment and kevin is a great mechanic. their alignment machine will align to the 0.001 scale which is very precise. They also do corner weight balance.
if you want a cheaper option, you can goto auto innovations in milpitas, which are also great. it costs about $80. their machine will align to the 0.01 scale which is the most common among alignment shops.
if you are thinking about replacing the tire, do it when you do an alignment b/c when you buy your tires, you are gonna have to re-align the car
