unless you have your own buckets and wash supplies, i'd highly recommend not to go to any coin wash lol.

The best place I've been to was in Oregon, that guy washed my car better than I do. Initial rinse was thorough, light hands while using the wash mitt, never used his fingernail and he never looked like he was trying to grind on my car.

I have yet to find a shop in the bay that comes remotely close. If Orlando at Auto Innovations opened up a detail shop he'd be like the dude in Oregon but he doesn't do details yet I'm lucky to have found an alignment shop so good though so no complaints.

To the OP, don't get your car washed in S, E or N San Jose because the water sucks and is super hard. N. San Jose and Saratoga seem to be good from my experience.

GL in your search and sorry for not having a place for you.

Guy Smith (408) 431-1145 . He does mobile detailing and normally does high end cars ferrari, lambos and so forth. I used to work with the guy. Just mention Andrew or Eric from autozone if he asks.

I can attest to this. For this reason I just purchased a water softener, hope to have it installed in a couple of weeks. I have to wash and dry my car super fast to avoid pain-in-the butt water spots, but I can manage as long as the sun isn't directly on it.

OP: If you run out of options by the end of the day, send me a PM and you can just come to my house and we can wash it with my supplies.
Edit: I also have lots of detailing equipment too in case you don't have your own.

What part of San Jose? Hopefully you don't get water from Great Oaks Water Co, that water is high in silica and water softeners don't remove silica

for offering your stuff up

East San Jose near the fairgrounds. San Jose Water company. My rental house (a mile away) has a softener and it feels wonderful on the skin. I'm anticipating similar benefits at this house and I'll be sure to add a hose bib for car washing

Ah you'll be good with SJW, you probably get reservoir water which is way better than well water which is what I get.
I know first and Montague is SJW from hetch hetchy and that water has super low conductivity, perfect for washing cars
