OK, I got a refund check from the California State Controller for my auto registration. I cashed the check but kept the stub, thinking all information is in the stub. Now I am working on my taxes and I needed to determine what I actually paid for the registration and so I looked at the refund stub and guess what, the amount of the refund is NOT PRINTED in the stub. I mean they printed the license number, the VIN, and the advice: "YOU MAY WISH TO CONTACT A TAX PROFESSIONAL REGARDING THIS REFUND", but not the amount of the refund. How hard is it to include the amount of the check in the stub? How stupid are these people that we pay the salaries of?

So does anyone know what / where I can find out the amount of the auto registration refund? Thanks.
