better camera
just trying to get as much opinion as possible from everybody. i know a lot of people here use go pro, but i have seen this contour roam camera and wondering if someone has any insights on it. it looks good and cheaper than the go pro but i dont know how good the video capture is. if someone has this camera, can you please upload a video or give inputs on this camera please? thanks. reason is, if this is a good camera, i will try to buy it on saturday because the base exchange is having this for sale for $99.95. wanted to know if it is a good buy or to pass on it and buy the go pro instead.

not comparing with numbers on go pro 3 since i haven't seen a video of it yet. im sure go pro 3 is better compared to contour HD, but i'm not willing to pay a couple hundred more for a suction cup mount that's for sure!

I bought the Contour+ when it first came out ($500) and it was absolute shit when it came to the audio. Wind noise was atrocious. Even after I wasted money on an external microphone, I still couldn't get the damned thing to record audio worthy of a $500 product. I sent it back and got a refund. I suggest you do research on the audio quality of this newest Contour before you spend any money.

advantages between contour+2 ($399.99) and gopro3($399.99):
contour+2: bluetooth. gps.
gopro3: wifi. cool remote (sarcasm). low light capability.
both are expensive as
, waterproof and capable of using apps on today's apps. waterproof case.
disadvantages:
contour+2: has horrible audio. regardless of software updates that they claim, nothing has changed.
if you want the top of the line (black edition), it's $399.99. if i had all the money in the world to spend, that's what i would get.
contour+2: the equivalent to gopro3 specs silver edition $299.99.
i guess it just depends on how you use it? i don't mind using a contour. if anything, it's easier since it has that flip-switch on top. personal preference.
