I grew up a few miles North of that bridge, I can't even count how many times I have driven over it. My mom takes it home from work every night. Thank God she wasn't on it at the time.
That is *the* major artery out of downtown Minneapolis going North. I think 2 lanes each way were closed for some road work or it could have been so much worse. I can't even imagine what traffic will do, they are saying it will be clost to two years before it can be rebuilt.
I have to say all the stories of 'regular' people rushing down to help rescue people makes me proud to be a Minnesotan.
