Default CDV Question

I have a question about my CDV in my '08.

I know that when you shift at redline, it'll delay it for ~.5-1second or so, just enough to lag it a bit but nothing noticeable. The past two times I've gone up to red line (about a 2 week difference between both instances) and when I "power" shift the delay rolls all over the power band--almost like the actual clutch is slipping, as opposed to just the CDV slipping the clutch.

Today, I was able to "power" shift from second, to third, to fourth with the clutch continually slipping (red line at 56mph in fourth gear, and when I finally stopped slipping the clutch I was going about.. 45). Then I let off as I knew I was cooking my clutch.

After figuring it was the clutch, I got worried my clutch could be bad (at 10,010 miles, not likely, but you never know). So I did the "put it in 4th gear at cruising and punch it" and it grabbed right away.

Any ideas to what it is? I hate the CDV

... I know it's the CDV, but it's never lagged on me that long. My experience with the CDV is only about 1k worth of RPM lag, but if I stay on the throttle, I can shift through the gears, and still slip the clutch.

I've never had the CDV slip the clutch that much (except these two times) which is what I'm curious about. I need to just have Joey remove it

You'll still slip the clutch with the cdv out. The pressure plate is weak so the clutch slips anyway..
Just drive it and plan on replacing the clutch sooner than later and do the cdv at that time.
I did the cdv and felt very little change..

so meaning to say its not really worth it to remove unless your changing clutch or pressure plate?

Is this a symptom of the newer S'? In my AP1 this never happened.

you didn't dump your clutch soon enough would be my guess.

powershifting as in gas pedal down the entire time? its difficult to powershift through 4 gears if you haven't done so before. the gears will be slightly harder to engage

I have nothing to back it up but that's what I think.
MY06 cdv was really bad compared to MY07. I removed the cdv from MY07 and only noticed a small difference

I didn't launch the car. I've actually never launched any of my two s2ks in fear of diff/improper technique. Only time I've "launched" was in the wet were I can start off at like 2k rpm, and mash the gas and spin the tires until no tomorrow

As far as "power shifting" I mean preloading the shifter and a vigorous shift, still letting off the gas, pressing down on the clutch, and letting go of the clutch, and back on the gas mashing it to the floor.
