I don't think you'd need to reformat. I had problems with norton not getting rid of all my viruses so I switched to Mcafee Viruscan enterprise. Also got rid of adaware and got AVG Anti-spyware instead. Both of these programs cleaned up my comp well.

I'd go:

1. Disc cleanup, to get rid of all your temp, and temp internet files.
2. Start -> run -> msconfig (if you're on XP) and enable safemode.
3. Check all startup processes and make sure there's nothing fishy. (don't do this if you don't know what you're doing)
4. Restart in safe mode
5. Scan entire computer thoroughly with viruscan enterprise and AVG.
6. Delete everything detected.
7. Restart, done.

I had a trojan that wouldn't get rid of itself. Norton would detect it and delete it. Then an hour later the same trojan was detected over and over again. I decided to switch and scan/cleanup my computer completely and all is good now.

norton AV didnt wipe it out. it just sent it to the company for analysis
I have office 2007, and a school district set of office 2003. So I can hook it up there. I also have windows xp professional if you need that too.

Go to http://www.symantec.com/security_response/...-112210-3747-99 and download the removal tool. Follow instructions on the page. GL.
Did you follow these instructions? None of the AV or spyware products will remove Vundo. You have to either remove it manually using some very specific tools or use the process describe in the URL. You could also try doing a System Restore. That has been successful for me in the past when my clients infect their PC's.

Reformatting just for a trojan is a little overkill guys. It's not that hard to remove them.
