Default Convertible top switch problem

Has anyone out there had problem with the switch? I own a 2002 model since March of this year. When I try to lower the top, the driver's side window will only come down one inch. I have to toggle the switch a few times or use the switch on the door to lower the window all the way.

I have an appointment with the dealer to bring the car in this week, but I thought to find out if it is a common problem?

Thanks

This seems to be a pretty common problem. Mine did the same and the dealer replaced the actuater in the driver's side door. In and out in a day.

I think there might even be a TSB on this issue.

Hope this helps.

Mav2, I have a 2002 and HAD the exact same problem (it is a well known problem in the S2000). Wait about a week and it may go away. Mine did and so did another members (Triple H).

In my case, I did not want the dealer taking the door skin off for this, so I was going to wait for awhile...then it went away .

This happened to me too. Got it fixed, but had to wait a few days for the part. I'm just wondering if it is going to come back and haunt me later on???

Thank you all for sharing your experiences. I took the car to El Cerrito Honda. First, they could not repeat the problem. Took the car back. It happened again the next day. I took the car back in second time and the service person said there is a bulletin about the problem. Part is in order now(I am waiting for a week for the part to arrive).
