Whoa, happened to my gf's bro's Accord. I took it in last time but they couldn't figure out why it did that..

Did you do the ignition recall yet?
Ignition recall??

I know they extended the tranny warranty to 105K.

this has nothing to do with my S but rather my 98 accord. lately, it's been acting up.

1) i'd start the car and it would shut off immediately
2) i'm driving and the all the dashboard lights would turn on, doors unlock and engine shuts off.

where do i even start checking on this problem?
Do the alty test. Start the car up then disconnect the negative terminal. If it dies then its the alty. If not it's something else...

I'll try checking on the alternator.

I already took the car in for the ignition switch recall.

Thanks guys. I always took this car downtown at night as my beater. Now, I'm scared it's gonna die on the road somewhere.

I'd rather die at night than the middle of summer in Sactown. I think my bro-in-laws tranny is acting up. It shifts weird like it's slipping. I hope he brings it in before 105K!

7 year, 100k warranty.. applies to certain years only. Unfortunately, my gf's 98 Acura CL with only 90k had a tranny failure and costed me $1800 to replace..

If it's slipping, it's the tranny going bad. I think the extension applies to certain years and 100k?? I think the problem is more prominent in the 98-00 models. Supposedly by 01-02, they fixed it, but i know people who have had tranny slips in their 01-02.
Hmmm... Dealership told him 105K.

So my dad took the car to get checked up. The guy says everything seems to be working fine.

I guess it's one of those things you have to be there to see when it happens to check what's wrong?

Shit, the car is possessed!

Does it have an alarm? It sounds like an anti carjacking feature got turned on/is faulty.
