Default Electrical Issues

this has nothing to do with my S but rather my 98 accord. lately, it's been acting up.

1) i'd start the car and it would shut off immediately
2) i'm driving and the all the dashboard lights would turn on, doors unlock and engine shuts off.

where do i even start checking on this problem?

when the car dies what's still on?

When you jiggle the key does the car turn off?

Now that i think about it, i'm willing to bet it's the alternator.. That or a bad battery but more likely the alternator.. the 6th gen accords were known to have bad alternators... along with a bad tranny...

That gen goes to 2000 right?

If so yeah the alty goes bad... I got stuck last year in SAC on the hottest friggin day 108 in the shade when it died!! Couldn't roll down windows. Holy hell is all I have to say!!

Replace the battery too if I were you. You might have deep cycled your battery. You don't wanna toast another alty.

If you alty is a Delphi its a GM alty so go figure!

95% sure the alternator is a delphi.

6th gen is 98-2002 with some minor changes from 2001-2002.

2003 was the year the released the fugly sedans and the bubbly kidney bean looking coupe.
