Default Google Chrome Anyone?

Anybody here use Google Chrome as an internet browser? It looks like a fantastic browser IMHO... but I was wondering about security (hackers, spyware, pronware, etc.)

TIA...

I tried it out for a few days. I don't know if they fixed this, but I had this issue the first week it was released. Have you noticed how Chrome indexes your history?

Try going into your banking account and look at your account balance etc.

If open a new browser and search for bofa or account numbers or anything like that, a search will result in your account balance. Even though these sites are supposedly encrypted and secure, Chrome will still index your history from there...

That's the last thing I want to use on one of my commonly used work computers!!! I haven't checked my bank account stuff just because I was wondering about spyware and viruses... let alone my own index spying on me.

Just now, I tried to change my avatar by looking in My Photo's and it would not let me do it.

I think I will be locking my computer a hell of a lot more now!!! Chrome is cool... but I think it just might be a little too soon for me...

Haven't looked into this yet, but I am assuming you can turn off indexing. If not, move the index db to a different location other than default & encrypt it.

it'll take a lot for me to switch from ff.... especially after getting so used to so many different plugins...

I think a lot of people "switched" because it's google... but tracking shows that a lot of people switched back after about two weeks... :/

Incognito works great for looking at pornography on your gf's computer.
