Default How do I get out of this predicament??

Basically, I'm leaving the country and I need to get out of a lease on my s2000. The problem is, I owe 30k on the lease, and the car is worth only 25k. It is a 2002 with 26,000 miles on it.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated - I don't have the $$ to get out of the lease!! Are there any other options??

Thanks,
Neal

What's making you leave? If it's the thing that almost made me leave the country last year, then there are plenty of legal loopholes that go along with jobs, school, loans, etc.

Contact your local credit union about buying the lease out. You can usually trust credit union loan officers. They may be able to help you buy it out so you can sell it. If nothing else they might give you some advice and help you deal with the leasing company.

I think the question is whether or not you intend to come back someday. If not, just ditch the car when you leave. hehe j/k
