How sad do you get if you have to sell your S2000?

so sad!!
i sold my first when i moved to Canada (from LA) and instantly regretted it. funny that i got one again (it was the RIGHT one!) within 6 months of moving back to CA.
it's a great car, gonna try to hold on to this one!
but sigh, life happens to all of us.

i'm on my second S2000. looooooong story but i blew the motor on my first one and was not in a financial position to recover it. had to sell it as-is and when the new owner towed it away i actually cried(embarrassing i know). i flippin' loved that car! i waited patiently for over two years and finally got an extremely low mileage example that i plan to keep forever. i have driven hundreds of cars and nothing makes me feel like the S2000 does...

I,too, am thinking of selling the s because of my wedding. I also picked up a wrx so that I can take my family around. I am selling mine in cl as well, but no one seems to be looking at it. I have 3 cars atm and cannot maintain all of them. My first car is the one that is attached to me more than the s. Don't get me wrong, the s is a really fun car to drive, but I've already told myself that if I would have to sell any of my first 2 cars, it would be the s. So at the moment, the s is posted in cl waiting for a buyer. I know I'm going to regret it after someone buys it, but I think I can move on. It would be a difficult road though.

I sent the S2000 to my brother in Socal in 2012 and got a Civic for DD duty. Sold the Civic and took the S2000 back after 1.5 years b/c I missed it. This is with a Challenge Stradale as the fun/weekend car. Even with the Ferrari, I still miss the S2000.
well, after owning the S2000 for 15 years, figure a more grown up car is in order. Got a A6. Sent the S2000 to Socal again (garage space - the S2000 does not deserve to live outside the garage). We'll see how this turns out. Maybe the S2000 will come back in 2018....

Lol you guys are good. I'm pretty psyched at the outpouring of love/support for the s2k though!
Once my (now) wife realized how special the car was to me we did talk about ways to keep it. The problem is, living in SF costs a lot (duh).. so to park the S2k would run me $350/month where we live now. Ugh. I would be even more sad to street park it and watch it get bumped to pieces and be constantly dirty. Plus I work in the city now so driving as a commute within the city is an awful idea. Bottom line.. it would be a money pit to keep the car and barely even drive it. Cash money tough you know.
I've come to accept that I had a spectacular run with the car, and if anything, I really just hope now that the car lands in the hands of somebody who will enjoy it for the amazing car that it is!

Living in the city was never an option for me because of parking. I have family and friends at all ends of the bay so I drive a ton. I'm a noob compared to the others here, MY00 Silverstone and we're about to hit two years together and I've put on over 30k smiles on the odometer.
Really hope you can find a way to keep her or if you have a friend outside the city with no street parking issues, that would be cool. My friend has a storage unit in San Mateo that's about 350 a month but he's thinking about selling his fun car (I'll make sure it doesn't happen).
