Default Local engine builders?

I'm looking into rebuilding my short block and found great shops such as CNC and Inline pro. Finding a local shop in Bay Area, or all of CA for that matter looks to be a great challenge. Does anyone have any recommendations of something up north who can reliably work on our motors? Looking to install some dry sleeves and assembling a short block with new bearings, rods, piston, etc.

I once had Laskey on my list but removed them due to poor workmanship in the recent past. I need to look into Erick's racing but believe I hear similar stories (need to confirm).

In San Jose there is victory engine builders. He's an older man and knows his stuff. He is backed up several weeks though because he is extremely popular with the v8 guys.

You check with Blacktrax yet? I know they can definitely assemble a motor, just not sure about the sleeves.

If you want just machine work done with assembly, Morgan's Machine in Walnut Creek is my go to shop. They work wonders and truly know their stuff. Been around a very long time. Be prepared for a wait.

Blacktrax!

Over the years they've built my F2.2L NA, my F2.2L supercharged, F2.4L NA, and now F2.5L NA.

Thanks for the feedback. I was planning on having Jei @ Blacktrax do the tune. I know they can assemble engines but they probably outsource the sleeving to a machine shop. I'll contact them and see what they say.

Does Morgan's have experience with import motors?
