Until Lotus starts exporting the Elise to the U.S., you can buy them from a place in L.A. that sells them with a Integra Type R motor:

About a year ago, I was at the Broadwalk Lotus Dealership in Redwood City and they had one in the showroom. It was fun watching the snooty dealer scoff at my friend and I while checking out the Elise.
Then in walks some moneypants and wonders if his wife would want one to the dealer. Of course he doesn't realize it's not street legal.
