Hey, NorCal, call around to your local dealers and tell them you are looking to buy a used silver/red S2000. If they say they have one, ask for the VIN so that you can check for a salvage title before you waste your time driving down there (they have no good reason not to give it to you.)

If the VIN is yours... bingo... go drive it off the lot and thank them for washing it for you.

They will have to take it up with whoever sold them the car to get reimbursed, but it is no longer your problem.

Also try looking through listings. Most dealers selling used S2000's list them in some classified ads. I searched AutoTrader and did not find your car, but check out the Chronicle just for grins. There is one silver/red's there... give 'em a ring....

Odds are the car did not go too far and it is sitting at a dealer somewhere, so I think your odds of finding it are pretty good if you just call all the dealers. The Honda web site will give you all the phone numbers.

Thanks again guys...

Update # 2,

Wednesday was supposed to be the day my attorney gave the dealer to get me the S2K.
I am waiting for my attorney to call me back with an update.
I have the cell phone number of the owner (wholesaler) he is the one the auto auction sold it to, that guy will not tell me what retailer he sold it to. Although he slipped and said that he was still waiting for the title, I think he is sitting on it, his receptionist sounded concerned. He kept saying he bought it legally. I said no, there is no release of lien or title or will there be. I will have the attorney take care of it; he needs to give up the car if he has it and or the name of the retailer who has it.

Otherwise He's going to be waiting for a very long time, like never. I went to the DMV again today and asked if there has been any activity regarding my S2K and VIN #. The DMV said it was still registered to me and the lien is still in place.
It's funny how the wholesaler I spoke with said that the DMV will give up the title. The DMV said no he does not know what he is talking about and that as long as the lien is in place and that the title is in my name even if I originally signed the power of attorney, which was on the premise of a binding contract, as there is NO binding contract.

Therefore they prematurely sold the S2K. Not only that, the eve they let me drive off the lot with the trade-in, the dealer said I had a deal with their credit company and not to worry,
