Mother killed while saving kids
i normally don't post such things, but this morning i got a phone call from my brother and he was telling me what was going on as PD was knocking on all the doors. this happened across the street from where i used to live. my parents still live there and where not allowed home until afternoon.

RIP. The mother really made a valiant effort to save her children.

the article seems like sucha disgrace imo.
the police force does deserve the credit, but there isn't a big notion made that this woman died to save her kids lives. also, the fact that they mentioned suicide...i know ANYTHING is a possiblity but if she's a hero and saved her kids lives then let people know! instead of giving the cops all the credit

A mother was killed Tuesday when a San Mateo home invasion turned into a shootout, and forced SWAT members to make a daring rescue of the woman's two small children.
San Mateo County Coroner Robert Foucrault said investigators will perform a ballistics comparison to try to answer that question. It is also unclear how the suspect died. Manheimer said suicide has not been ruled out.
The children were uninjured in the incident and Manheimer commended the officers "who at great risk to their own safety and also under fire" saved them.

may her kids know what she did for them. my personal thought as for PD being under fire; its part of the job thats what you train for and know it can happen.
i am fortunate to help people in my career, and for me its what i signed up for!
