Default With much regret

After being a member here for over 15yrs and owning 2 s2000's, I finally sold my baby and decided to move on in a different direction. I definitely didn't want to give up performance, but at my age I wanted something a little more "compfy". I just purchased an absolutely mint used Mercedes SL-55 AMG. I seriously hated to sell my s2000, but the SL-55 is an absolute BEAST! I'll check in occasionally, but in the meantime, have to put a few miles on the new ride and get used to an entirely new "animal".

Congratulations I guess. I cannot even imagine letting go of my S. From the time the original owner of my S told me, about 10 years ago, that he would NOT keep it forever, I knew the car would one day be mine. On July 27th, 2018, it did indeed become mine, with 16,437 miles on the clock. It is a Speed/Indy yellow 2001. Just under 21,000 miles today. The thought of not having this wonderful driver's car available to me is just not one that enters my mind.

In your case, I get it, and wish you the best in the SL-55. I cannot even imagine how tough it was to part with the S, but as you've realized, you have a new driver's machine with which to be occupied. Be safe.

Congrats. Too bad you couldn't keep both. Power is intoxicating but the S has the fun factor. I keep smiling whenever I get in the S.
