Default Newbie Needs Help!

This is a great site guys. Everyone seems to know there s2000. I live in oakland and have been looking real hard for and S2000. Can you guys offer your honest opinions?

Whats the most i should pay for a new 2003?

Would it be dumb to look for a 2001-2002 with 10k or so on it to save a few thousand or better off buying this high-revving beast new?

Whats the best car cover that for sure wont damage the paint if left on a couple days after rain? (damn asking about car cover and i dont even own the car yet)

I find myself daydreaming about the berkeley oakland hills in that new 2000. Im thinking once i pulldown one of these suckers ill start a tour. Maybe something like meeting near my house for a slice at Zacharys and then heading up past the Claremont into the hills. Been meaning to give those 748's and CBRS a run up there.

Late,
yaugo

***oh, im dumping my 91 VW PASSAT manual 113k black/grey, looks great, runs good, lots of newer parts, for $1500 out the door. just needed some more cash for down. will send pics if interested.

i'd probably buy one out of state (chicago, illinois; boston, massachusetts, etc), and then ship it here, or you can fly over there, and then have a nice road trip back to the bay area. be sure to plan and pack REAL light. i would bring a friend, it does get lonely.
