It's a nice thing to have and worth it to some who want reduce the risk of getting a ticket for not having a front license plate. This is also a pretty easy DIY for the most part. I like it personally but I'm running no front license plate and I'll be changing my plates to FL soon which require no front license plate and only a $35 registration fee with no smog test requirement. No to mention its a much prettier plate lol. GL on this i'm sure you'll get customers.

My friend does the same install too for a really good fair price in SF, for any car. I thought about installing this myself but the problem is that once the plate comes up, it sits too far up and makes the license plate position look awkward/misplaced. This product has been out for many years! I would rather custom make my own and/or get a manual one.

Seen this on a couple of cars. I agree that it seems to sit too high. Can it handle being engaged and retracted at say highway speeds ? Random thought but I figure if the plates hidden, cop flashes his lights and you want to have the plate up before you come to a stop

I had a manual one that didn't sit high, it would just sit perfectly in bumper dam. I took it off though, the quality of the bracket sucks, it gets pretty flimsy and gets gunked up quickly. I'd only install one again if I could fabricate a solid mount that attached to the bumper support or something.
