I vote Xbox 360. Overall it has FAR better games than the PS3 so far. Plus the new update does look great, kind of has a Wii feel to it now as well. The new menu(s) look very similar to Windows Media Extender on Vista...Looks great now! Def like being able to stream Netflix video's on the Xbox as well!
I do see in the future PS3 being on top, nobody has really made a game that has used the full potential of the PS3

360 gets my vote, better gaming library and online experience. i've been meaning to get a ps3 for the past two years, but there's not enough "must have" games for it. i would get it to have an additional blu-ray player in the house, but from what i've read i will probably be disappointed with the quality compared to my standalone blu-ray player

not true, your basic is based on the serial number off the console. i believe theres a 2-3 years warranty on the console and if its the red ring..even if you're out of warranty, they'll fix it anyways due to their defects.
got mine recently done. but i vote for ps3
