Recommended South Bay Smog Local?
So it's that time of year and I figure I should see if I can get the smog done before I drop the new motor in(since it may have 1-2 non approved parts). However, the current motor, due to valve seats wearing, has some lowered comp in 2-3 so there may be elevated HC levels. So I'm actually looking to do a test(same as an official smog but not recorded, even costs the same ) to see where the health of the current motor is. To do that I need to find a decent smog shop that's lowered friendly. Any recommendations? Personally one either not super busy or one I can make an appointment with to get in and out of fast. Thanks all.
Excited for the new motor + other 'bits' should be going in at the end of the month.

Hmm I'll point out vdmtom (and hopes his not that busy) for your smog. Tom is actually a friend of most of the guys here in the southbay. Try to pm him he might just help you with your problem ^_^

Thanks! I'll check with him...no need for illegalities yet though! We'd like to pass legally if the motor will. If it won't my friend and builder have other options, but we'd rather not have to resort to them.
I need to head out to one of the meets again, hell I think the only actives that probably remember me are Bo and Vu, but the friday night meets have always been a challenge.

Hi, our shop has smogged quite a bit of bay area S2000's, varying from lowered to slammed S2000s. My shop can do the pre-test for you. It's $30. As you said, same test, just no record and we'll be able to print it out. Thing is, we're booked until Wednesday. If you like to wait until Thursday around 3pm, I can do it. Otherwise, we have another shop in Fremont, off Thornton blvd... let me know.
Thanks James.

We just smogged Chris' S2000 today, everything went well as planned.
Hope to hear from you again if you need a smog check.
And we smogged my friend's super slammed Lexus LS430, probably 4 inches off the ground, it fit on the rollers fine.
Our shop is lowered friendly =)

Ohhh ok. I went to Glenmore? Auto or something like that. Same kinda set-up as the one you posted, and it's off Thornton I believe. My car doesn't need to be smogged until my lease is up, but thanks!
