This is a tentative outline of the drive Saturday
7am Arrive at Airway Blvd. (Livermore)
7:15am Leave Airway Blvd.
9:00 am Arrive Sonora - Bay Area folks may need to top off with gas, etc.
9:15am Leave Sonora
10:45am Arrive Sonora Pass - get photos, stretch
11:00am Leave Sonora Pass
12:15pm Arrive in Walker - get lunch, gas
~1:30pm leave Walker
3:10pm arrive in Reno

WHERE?
Please answer the poll regarding Hotels. I've called the three larger resorts outside of downtown with nicer facilities and ample monitored parking, and here's what I've got.

Initial Discounts (group of 10 rooms or more):
Atlantis - rates will be betweeen $170-$230 per room depending on weekend
Peppermill - ~$10-$20 less than posted online rate
Grand Sierra Resort - ~$10-$20 less than posted online rate

If the majority of votes choose downtown, I will make a second round of calls.

WHEN?
Please answer the poll regarding availability. We will only be staying one Saturday night, then driving out. It is multiple choice; so feel free to choose the dates you are available. In the event of a tie, I'll default to the cheaper of the two weekends.

WHY?
Because it's there, man. . .

HOW?
UnkieTrunkie will be driving to Reno on CA-108 if it is open. The fallback pass will be CA-88 or US-50, weather depending.

How much is this going to cost me?
While we can't anticipate every single cost, we'll try to help you out thinking about this ahead of time:

• See above for proposed lodging costs
• Gas - assume at least 4 tanks (two going, two leaving), possibly more depending
• Food - Saturday lunch information will be posted soon, and check menus ahead of time
• Drink money - I for one, tip $1 per drink. Treat your servers well.
• Club covers/table service - two of the venues proposed do have a nightclub with DJs and table/bottle service.
• Souvenirs for your wife, gf, bf, pet snake, postal carrier, traffic court judge

If we get 5 rooms, I can get a group reservation. If we get 10 rooms, I can book a block with a group discount.

I am a very likely "Yaybe". I will just have to coordinate on the Yosemite Drive because with the snowpack, it is likely to happen around that time being that I would like to have the group make it to Glacier Point again this year.

I have no preference on the hotel, I think it will be fun at any of the choices.
