That would be my guess. There would be little point in wasting the stuff on cattle, which are normally vaccinated for anthrax.

i think it happens on occasion with cattle and livestock, but because of our heightened awareness, the media has picked it up as a news story. usually it would happen and no one would know or care.

Comming from someone in the Biotech field (me), don't give it a second thought. The bacteria that affects cattle is different than the one that affects humans (sort-of). Bottom line, don't worry about it. It would have never made the news if it weren't for present climates.

Terrorists are killing our cows!!!

This whole anthrax thing is so grossly out of proportion it is just silly!! A total of four people out of a population of 285 million peole have died from Anthrax and everyone is in a tizzy! During the exact same time frame thousands of people died from smoking related illnesses, hundreds of people were murdered in violent crime, thousands more died from cancer and hundreds have died from influenza (the flu.)

But everyone is running around and screaming about Anthrax... pouring billions of dollars into stopping a bacteria commonly found in nature!! Imagine what we could do if we invested that money and attention into cancer research!!!

It's the same with flying. Peope are afraid to fly because they think the flight will be hijacked... on that one day, four flights were succesfully hijacked... Over 10,000 flights were scheduled for that day. Your odds of getting hijacked were 0.04%. Your odds of getting into a car accident on the way to the airport are greater than 0.04%, yet people still drive...
