Default To Square or not to Square?

I want to get some Volk Wheels 17x9 +63 & 255 tires all around
on CR suspension, mostly street car
is there any good valid reasons NOT to run this setup?
I have some reason of my own, just wanted to hear everyone's opinion

just want to absolutely make sure before I do it
thanks

And CR's sit higher than us base models to begin with.

Plus what's the reason for square if it's primary a street car. Why not go staggered.

Better resale value but don't quote me on this when you plan to sell them and I low ball you hehehe

Gas mileage will be reduced slightly but you'll have better braking and I think it'll look fine.

Maybe it would be helpful to tell us why you want a squared setup

My car came w/ a non-staggered setup running 255/40/17 all around. Love the setup!! You may be more susceptible to oversteer w/ squared but I noticed somewhat better control on cornering and breaking during turns compared to trying 225 front and 255 rear. Steering felt really loose w/ 225 in my experience. I still like the non-staggered setup, feels harder and tight, upon steering. I'm currently running:
Enkei RPF1 (slight stagger)
245/40/17 17X8 +45 F Z1 Starspecs
255/40/17 17X9 +45 R Z1 Starspecs

Looks like everything in the below link is answered for you Ariel, regarding same rims and offsets.
1. Complete info on non-staggered setup created by www.maxrev.net http://www.maxrev.net/site/index.php...sion&Itemid=58

2. Here's a thread about other s2ki members running non-staggered here:

X2 Before proceeding w/ non-staggered setup, I'd lower the car a bit. You don't want to look like a 4X4 truck

Ariel why not just buy these as a set of track tires/ wheels and then switch back and forth as needed?

That is my thoughts exactly as I would be keeping my stock wheels
There is no point of getting new wheels in staggered cuz my stocks ones are already staggered
Everyone knows the benefits of going square so I wont list them
also going square gives me the opportunity to learn how to drive that setup

The only downside I see is the risk of damaging my CR fenders
I know others run the setup with no problems but the risk is still there
To me the only proper way to do it is to slap on some other wider fenders whenever I use these wheels
which just adds to the costs greatly

It's the one thing that really sucks about a CR, you can't just easily modify it like a base model
Oh well I guess I better start saving up my money
