Both guys decided to not secure their cars and just park their cars on the street or a parking lot all night?!

Regardless, just because it's parked out in the open doesn't mean it's an invitation to be stolen. Obviously there's a market for stolen HTs. I keep saying this because these HT only fit our cars.
Take away the market, or flood it with HT from Japan and I bet theft for them reduces.

I'm saying what did they expect? The theft rates speak for themselves especially in their area. Folks with no desire to protect their property continue to amaze me. Hard to sympathize when they do things like this. Can't happen to me syndrome.
Bluntly: anyone who parks a S2000 on the street is a fool. Learn from this.

Not everyone's life is perfect all of the time.
People who have to live in high crime area don't live there by choice. They have no other options. Try to be a bit more understanding.
I am going to venture that >50% of us have lived in area with high crime at some point in our life, I know our family did.
