Default AT&T U-verse?

Anyone heard of U-verse? It's AT&T's new DSL thing. I'm currently a comcast user, but I am thinking of switching over to the "Elite 6Mbps" Internet for AT&T U-verse.

Reason for this change is comcast's digital phone thing doesn't do it for me. But I am more concerned about the reliability (how often it disconnects, etc.) and speed of the internet aspect.

Any help is appreciated.

Comcast throttles torrents.

Which one do you use? They have like 4 different levels of DSL. I'm thinking of doing the 3rd (Elite 6Mbps).

I don't want to switch over and have the DSL shut off and on on me while I'm doing work or playing games. Thanks

I've never had a problem with them. I'm on their 3mbps line.

What do they block? My torrents still download pretty fast at around 500 kb/sec and sfo.speakeasy.net shows I get a 15mb download speed so no complaints here

500kb/s is quick relatively speaking. However if you're testing at 15megabit, 500kb/s is still only about 4mb.

I have U-verse. No issues with the internet. The cable is pretty cool. Better interface and more user friendly. It has froze on me one or twice in 6 months. A simple reboot on the box does the trick. Plus its cheaper than Comcast.
