top slashed
Sorry to hear it.
When I was in Idaho a couple years back someone burnt and tore up my roof too. Being the ghetto person that I am, I used epox to reinforce the edges (the gap was pretty big), sewed it together with fishing line, and used black silicone glue to seal the hole. It held for 3 years just fine.

hey asura! thanks for the offer, my friend. unfortunately the ball is already rolling w/ insurance, so im just going to go through them to take care of the top.
thanks for the advice mike! i think im going to go with what yellowbanana suggested and get a hardtop. i got a quote for a local dealership for $200 labor, so i think i may go that route.

Personally unless you plan to keep the HT on 24/7 it will have little impact in decreaseing the chance that your softtop will get cut again. Why? If you don't use the HT all or a substaintial majority of the time then there's just a good a chance that your top will get cut when you're not using it. The tops get cut with such low frequency that the odds of it happing too you again are very low, even if you don't buy the HT...
