Default where to duplicate keys

I lost my key.
so now I'm down to 1 key.
I know Honda can do it but is there another place.
I think there are places in malls and they said that they can duplicate the electronic code in the key? Has anyone tried anything besides a Honda dealer?
TIA.

You might have to program the immobilizer - not sure if anyone outside the dealer offers that service.

I'm not sure what this mean.

Yamez, the key from Greatmall would work? I know that keys can be duplicated but modern cars have electronics in the fob and you need that to start your car.

The immobilizer is a small resistor (i believe) that is inside the plastic portion of the key which integrates with the ECU. You'll need to get this part programmed to work with your ECU or technically, your car should not start even if its been cut to match.

so i talked to the guy in greatmall and heres the deal...

yes they could do the keys for 45 bucks. its not OEM but it is Similar (just without the honda logo.)

and the fob, its OEM. they could do it for 75.

so all in all you got a replacement key and fob for 120 bucks.

its in greatmall gate 3 in front of SANRIO (OMGBBQ)

i never escaped sanrio. they just robbed me of my precious 8 bucks. dammit.
