Back then, they were kind of unstable and got hacked quite often

cthree - Father of www.s2ki.com was a member there was also fed up with site's unstable condition. Eventually he put together his own site and recruited a few members to join etc. and when his site was first open to the public it had a different name. I think it was s2000online.com

I didn't join right away but eventually got tired of the site being shut down regularly.
Eventually, I decided to join s2000online.com which is now s2ki.com.

I wanted an S2000 ever since I saw one in 2000 - love at first sight. I read up on it and became an S2000 specifications "know it all". For some reason, I told myself I would only buy one brand new, but couldn't afford the prices. Bought a lot of other new and used cars, but that S2000 was still on a pedestal in my mind - out of reach! When I saw a Laguna Blue in 2006, I knew that was the colour I wanted. But that pricing always scared me! Finally in 2009, when I was shocked to hear that Honda was no longer going to build it, I pushed myself into action. I walked into a dealership and told them I wanted a brand spanking new 2009 S2K in Laguna Blue - I couldn't believe it when they said that Laguna Blue was not offered in Canada! I didn't believe them and called up Honda Canada, and got it from the horse's mouth so to speak. What bitter disappointment! We are not allowed to import a brand new S2K from the US, so I moped for a week or more! Then I decided it would have to be another colour. A friend of mine said I should go through a Broker. I did, and he said they could get me one in Apex Blue, or Chicane Silver - other than that, the Canadian market wasn't going to get too many 2009's prior to stopping production. I said I would go over to a Honda dealer to find a Civic or Accord in a similar Silver or Blue to see if I liked the colours. I stopped by my closest Honda dealer, and I walked into the showroom, and there was this 2009 S2K in Chicane Silver parked right in front of me. Instant love affair with the colour! I normally don't like Silvers, but this was almost gray metallic! The Broker experience was great! On the day of delivery, the salesman went through everything, and I heard nothing! He took an hour to walk me through everything - it was a blur. I was just drinking in the shape and colour! I told him I'll learn things as I go along. I asked him to put the roof down, and I took a deep breath, waved, and drove away. Talk about the best drive of my life - I drove all over the place, and put 350 kms that day (I live only 50km from the dealership that I picked it up from!). I still don't remember where all I went! It was truly the best shifter/clutch combo I have every driven, truly the most sublime handling car I've been in, and that precise steering brings a smile to my face at every curve. I literally long to be in the car, and I always take the long way round, no matter where I go! Never had a piece of machinery take over my feelings in this way. This car has truly "stirred my soul" as its designer intended. What memories I am making!
