I dreamed of owning an S since I was a freshman in high school year 2000. Went through two cars before I got an S. I bought my S in Nov 2008 and it was raining like crazy. I still can't believe I went car shopping in the pouring rain. But I love my S. It treated my very well throughout my first year.

I don't plan on modifying my car. I love it the way it is.

december of 04 which was my sophomore of year in high school, i had my license for 6 months, and my dad and i went to go look at cars at elk grove honda, and at that time Blair was working there, and he had traded in his spa yellow ap1 to get the ridgeline, he knows my dad, and my dad and blair started talking, and we left after 30 minutes or so, and me and my dad went back on valentines day, and he talked to blair again for 5 minutes or so, and next thing i know my dad goes go for a test drive, and tell me if u like the car, at that time, i didnt know much about ap1/2 i only knew a lot bout eg ek dc2 dc5..didnt know nothing about s2000's at all..so i went for a drive, and as soon as i hit vtec i fell in love, and told my dad i liked the car, and he threw me the keys saying here your car =] thats my story, of course i put my own hard earned 10k down for the car and my dad spotted me on the reset which we got a car for a good deal, and i made my own car payments, ever since i was 16. it was a mistake getting rid of that car..i shouldn't have done it...lol

I don't remember the details. I just saw the s2k and wanted it and plus I'm a big Honda fan haha. I remeber the first time I saw in one at the dealership, and I was like wow this is so small. I think some of the Honda salesmen were ignoring me and chuckling because I young (22) when I bought it. They thought I was dreaming.

I bought mine from a Toyota dealership down the road (roseville). It came with the lip, ht and spoiler, and chromed stockies and I got a great deal at the time.

I was looking at 350z, wrx, evo before I ultimately chose the s2k, and I regret nothing.

I never really thought about an s2000. Test drove an ap1, got s2k drunk and bought one. Well, I thought I got a decent deal at the time then the market crashed 6 months later.

It was the beginning of March in 2004. I'm a 20 year old college student still living at home with the parents. I work at Thunder Valley Casino and I just got a promotion from a food runner to a Cook's Helper. It's decent pay and I want an upgrade from my 94 Acura Integra. The search begins and I am partial towards Imports, mainly Japanese, and it has to be a New car.

Eventually I narrowed my choices down to WRX, 350Z, or S2000. I went to Subaru first to check out the STI. I was told that they need to approve my credit first before I can test drive. Since I didn't have enough credit, at that point I was entirely turned off at the WRX.

Another day I checked out the 350Z. The prices for these cars were too high which turned me off. At this point I haven't test driven either the WRX or 350Z.

One weekend night I went with a friend to check out used cars at Cal Expo. It was then that I test drove an 03 Suzuka blue S2000. I remember walking up to the car. The top was down. The interior was clean, elegant, yet sporty. The seats hugged me tight. It was just too cool to push a button to start the car. The engine purred and my eyes caught the tach which could rev 9K. A 6spd manual tranny. I turned on the lights and her eyes lit up with those beautiful HIDs. As I was sitting in this car I could feel the chemistry not to mention all the attention I was getting from people walking by.

They had this sort of mini track like setup to test the cars. The first few S turns the S2000 gracefully hugged the turns. The engine was growling anticipating more. I punched it on the exit as the the Honda's rear wheels couldn't grip much more. Its a RWD! I set her strait and held on tight with both hands on the wheel, bracing myself for 2nd gear VTEC. It was music to my ears. I was sold. I had to find myself an S2000.

I later spoke to my father about purchasing a new 2004 Honda S2000. My mother probably would never approve but she was visiting in the PI at the time. My father and I went to the bank to get approved. I was only approved for $14,000 with Co-signer. WTF! I could never get an S2000. I was pissed. Then my father asked them to run his credit....he was approved. Let's go take a look at them he said.

We ended up going to Mel Rapton Honda, Charmichael Honda, and Autowest Honda with no luck at all. All the dealers would not budge on the price or give us a good deal. My father gave up and told me that his approval will only last so long. It was up to me to find a deal.

Then there she was. On EBAY. Buy it Now for $29,999 2004 Honda S2000 in Rio Yellow Pearl. Located at Scholfield Honda in Wichita, Kansas. My father approved and I bought it now. I just bought a car I couldn't test drive. I had to wait a few weeks for delivery. I finally took delivery in April of 2004. My brand new S2000 with 17mi. It was a Friday night and my wife (girlfriend at the time) took the car out all day long. I couldn't even figure how to open the gas tank. We drove to Downtown Sacramento and cruised up and down the strip of Sunrise Blvd. You guys should have seen the smile on my face.

The agreement for me was to pay every penny of insurance, car loan, or anything that had to do with this car and to stay out of trouble. Currently I am a Sous Chef at Thunder Valley. Recently purchased my first house. I paid the car off in April of 2009. Hit the cover and featured on Honda tuning magazine of August 2008. I still own the car. Enjoying it here and there. The S2000 is such a great car. I don't think I could ever get rid of her.

Thanks for Reading!

This needs to become a childrens book for all the future S drivers.
