11/18 Hollywood Park Auto-X
This Sunday put some air in your tires and go racing! Traction is nowhere near El Toro but the tire wear is way down too.
As always, see the event notice at www.solo2.com for details.
See you in the street tire class (SK1). I've got me a ZR-1 vette to kill.

I can't say anything about the Sat. practice since my club isn't hosting it and I didn't plan on attending. The event flyer at www.solo2.com should have contact details but I'd be surprised if it isn't filled up already. The Sunday event will be open to anyone who comes.
Sunday the street tire class (SK1) runs mid-morning (group 2 of 6) and works just before lunch (group 3 of 6). A-stock runs just after lunch (group 4) and works the next group (5).
Anyone who wants to run should get there early, take everything loose out of your car, run the car through Tech (filling out a registration card from a bucket at the head of the tech line), and then register. Even if you plan to run late in the day, Tech and Reg close just after lunch. Bring a M95 or newer/better rated helmet or you'll have to borrow one of our crusty loaners. Pump up your tires to at least 36 PSI all around. When your register to run you also sign up for a work group (you'll be shagging cones as a course worker for one whole run group unless you have 'special' skills).
You can sign up for "X" runs which as non-classed time-only entries, and let you take a passenger, but Reg will still try to put you where your car normally runs (A-stock). Also they only allow "so many" X-run entries per run group. If that gets in your way just register you car in any 'higher' group than it normally runs (like A street prepared or C mod). Umm, any other questions?

Was there today. I saw only one other S2000, red (Was that you, Penforhire?) I recognized the driver, who was also at the Streets of Willow Springs last weekend. Didn't have time to say hi 'cause I was running really late for teching and registration.
In my run group, a Mustang spun out and then the left front wheel came off! That made me run over to my car to double-check and make sure all the lugs were torqued down properly.
