Default 1st Fix It Ticket =(

Hey hows it going everyone!

So two nights ago I was driving home from school I was pulled over by the CHP and he gave me a fix it ticket for VC 27151(a) for modified exhaust. I have an Invidia q300 on the S when I got pulled over. So today I put back the stock exhaust back on and then when to the CHP station and they told me that they do not sign off on modified exhaust and told me that I would have to get it inspected by the state referee station. So I called them to see what the process would be and told me the inspection would be free but the certification will cost 108 and my heart just sank to the bottom.

My question is there anyway around this loop hole? Another question I have is that if I bring it to the state referee station would a stock exhaust with the resonator removed be a problem because apparently the previous owner removed the resonator.

Any kind of help will be greatly appreciated and thanks for your time

Is there a special place in OC to get it sign off?

the ticket is marked correctible right?
ive always went to a regular police station to have it signed off. Just put back on your stock exhaust and go down to the temple city pd cost $15. they've been really easy to deal with the last few times i went there for exhaust, tint, front plate. 2 of the times they didnt even look at my car or charge me, they just signed and stamped the ticket.

A ticket can only be signed off if marked corrective right? So if it was checked not correctable you'd have to go to the ref?
