Why get it? Because I don't have any iPhone yet and 2.0 eases some of my concerns, like connection speed.
Nothing else out there has as much sex appeal as the iPhone. Apple knows how to make things simple to use and stylish. Their new business-class improvements mean that I could use one for work purposes, which was only possible for Blackberry's before (Treo's were a no-go here).
I'm still carrying around a RAZR phone and a Palm TX, at least five days a week. I had a converged device years ago (Kyocera 7135) but it wasn't good enough at either function. I'm hoping the iPhone, with add-on apps, is. In terms of specs I suppose I could wish a little better camera function (but I could give a crap about vid conf).

Even with the additional $10-$15, it's still cheaper than a comparable voice/data plan from other providers like Verizon..
