Default Alternator toggle during acceleration...

The new M3 with the V-8 redlining at 8400rpm has an alternator toggle that only turns on the alternator during engine decel. Not sure how that could work during freeway cruising but i guess it must. I'm curious about the amount of power stolen this way. Perhaps a manual toggle switch or a setting at 75% throttle cutting out the alternator and relying on battery power. Any ideas....anyone think its a possibility?

AEM has the setting to cut AC per <RPM or <Tps %. I use that at 35% and 5k.

See any issues on the electronic side with alt. cut?
