Default Anyone live in or near Escondido? (asking for favor)

Hi.

There is someone in Escondido that is trying to sell a set of stock wheels (no tires, just wheels). His price seems fair, and he says he can ship them to the east coast (Boston area) for $50.00 total shipping charge. I'm not too sure about that part and it made me wonder. He is not a member of S2Ki, but he agreed that someone could look at the wheels on my behalf before I buy them. So you know what I'm asking. I was wondering of any of you live in or near this town and would be willing to check it out for me. Or maybe some of you know from experience that the wheels can't be shipped that cheaply to Boston? It's fine if nobody wants to do this. You're still all welcome on the east coast.

Any help would be appreciated.

BTW, I never believed Ass cracker...I mean backcracker... was gay! Damn, That's the funniest thread I've seen yet.

Thanks.

Bill

Thanks guys. I'll contact the seller and find out if the wheels are still available and then respond with PMs to Elements and Ron with an address. I appreciate this. I don't want to buy a set of scrub wheels no matter how good the deal is.

Bill,
I looked at the wheels, and took some pictures. Aside from scratches and dings, the wheels appear to be serviceable. There are two fronts and two rears, all 2002 design. They are in shipping boxes, and feel much lighter than I would have expected.

Karoon is a young college student living with his parents. He appears honest and trustworthy. I would not have any concerns about doing business with him. He bought the wheels from someone in Florida and swears he paid only $50 in shipping for that trip. He bought them for his Civic because he likes the appearance, but has since had second thoughts about the safety of doing the 4 to 5 lug conversion to use them. He says he is not making any money on the deal over what he paid.

Good luck with the transaction. Let me know if you have other questions. Glad to be of assistance.
