Smile Cingular is the devil.

Cingular/ATT whatever, does not work in my home. It also does not work at my place of employment.... Nor does it work where I go to for fun!

I called a couple months back about how the service seems to have worsened.... The explanation they offered me was that there was restructuring going on due to the merger with ATT and all sites should be good to go within 2 business days in my area. FALSE.

Service still sucks to this day.

Oh, and that call I made? Took me 55 minutes to finally get a hold of a representative.

I have currently accrued 4003 rollover minutes. My current billing period which is almost over shows 9 minutes of phone usage. The past 4 months, I have probably used less than 45min/mo. I just cannot use my phone because it just doesnt work anywhere.

I finally got fed up, called tonight to cancel. Woohoo, 45 minute wait this time! (Yes, I am a stubborn dumbass to wait so long) Anyways, guess what happens? She asks me for my # and puts me on hold for 1 minute. Takes me off hold, asks again for my # and puts me on hold for 3 minutes. Takes me off hold and proceeds to tell me about how the systems have been down tonight so she cannot access my account.

I am flabbergasted at this point. If the systems have been down and they obviously cannot answer any questions, why the hell does it take so long to get a rep?? Also, why ask for my # twice when there is nothing they can do for me!?

Seriously, they are a horrible HORRIBLE company. They are officially worse than Spring in my book in regards to both network and customer service. GRR.

Is anyone else having problems with ATT?

PS: For those who have my 213#, trash it. Somehow, some way, I will cancel this mother****er by tomorrow....

yup every night around 12:30am until 7:00am EST .... their system goes on backup.

AT&T just gave me the new Tilt for 300 with no contract

Business care group is great. General public CSR is horrible IMO.

I have ATT, but they have been good so far. It usually takes me less than 5 minutes to get with a CS Rep.

They even overnighted the new Tilt free of charge after I made multiple complaints about the 8525.

btw: Did they charge you any cancellation fee?

if u dont get signal at your house i dont think u should even pay a cancelling fee. thats just ridiculous that you have to pay a fee to cancel something that u dont even have signal at your own home. IMO

My friend who canceled his contract with AT&T had the same problem. No coverage at home. Pretty sure he was able to get out of the cancellation fee for that reason. Good luck with that. Back to sleep for me.
