Thumbs down Does you car burn oil?

If so, how much and in what time frame?

I noticed in the last two years that my car burns quite a bit of oil every 1-2 months or about 1800 miles... anyone else experiencing this?

For the record I have an 2002.

My 01 burns oil. This is most noticable if I'm driving it hard (on second cam). If I just cruise, it's not a problem. In general, I make a habit of checking the fluids every week. I top off the oil about every 4-6 weeks, or roughly 1500 miles. I have burned as much as 1 quart between oil changes, but generally it's only 0.5-0.75 quarts per change. I'm interested to hear what others have to say as well.

I'm down a quart after 6000 miles. Was very easy on the car during breakin (didn't take it above 5500rpm).

Well so far the vote is split equally between yes and no. Fortunately noone answered "I don't know" .

My 2000 has always burned since switching to synth (Mobil1 10w30). It has gotten a little worse as times goes by. I'm up to topping off an extra quart between change intervals.
