Question Emergency Evac this Weekend

Boy did I get a scare this weekend at El Mirage.
My family (15 of us) were on a trail ride, I was in the back with the rear GPS.
My father-in-law (directly in front of me) hit an enbankment after losing control in a sand wash and knocked himself out. (Scull fracture, broken hip and collar bone) and I had to emergency ditch in order to avoid crushing him with my bike. I too knocked myself out it appears as we both didn't wake up until the beating of the evac rotor blades.

Time out....an estimated 60- 90 minutes of dirt nap time. The GPS I had was crushed into my leg during the fall and wasn't working. Somehow I must have reset my dislocated shoulder during my stupor.

Anyways, lesson learned here, even when you plan ahead bad things can happen, so please be safe in whatever you do out there for fun please! Take care brothers and sisters.

Don't want to be losing anymore friends or family for a long time.

Yes, $840 worth (we split the bill).....I got sick in the bird ...guess it is part of knocking yourself unconcious. Those evac boys don't mess around...thank the lord we have teams to help in those situations.

Glad it wasn't worse. (I don't know if OK is correct.) Be safe.

Sorry to hear about your incident Lance. Glad all is well. Sounds like you father-in-law has a lot of recovery time ahead. How about you, any injuries aside from separated shoulder and headache?

It hurts a lot when I laugh....

But nothing besides a few stiches and my face being a little messed up.
Hey, I couldn't have gotten any uglier

only...if I could have landed on the sand instead of the rocks......
