I only consider Dobermans, Rottweilers, Danes, Shepherds, Mastiffs, and etc. dogs
all the toy, decorative, and rat-hunting dogs are not REALLY dogs to me
a DOG should command respect, and not be "cute"
no-one shares my mindset on here, but that is okay
(and NO, i do NOT need a dog to protect me - I do martial arts, and I am a fair marksman) I just think that dogs should be DOGS
either way, it sucks when animals get hurt

I should mention though, there are small dogs that are worth a damn, I can think of one a friend owned that alerted him when a armed man entered their yard. Allowing him the ability to have his gun in hand and scare the potential thief away.
In my mind that fuzzy little dog did it's part.
