Ryan, having read that guys group buy thread and the hardtop thread it looks like the top is so thin it starts to bend and warp at speed. I would definitely return it. The seals wont do anything if the hardtop flexes to the point gaps open up. Get your money back.

That hardtop sounds like a road hazard waiting to happen.

:**( I'm gonna take some more pics of it tonight to send to the guy, who is going to send that info to the manufacturer? I picked it up from extreme dimensions in fullerton with him so I am assuming they will need to give the "approval".

Wasn't he saying that they were involved with the creation and design? They probably just bought the unsold hardtops from extreme dimensions for a huge discount. That's why they can sell them so cheap.

Which body shop did Raul's car? Stay away from those guys.
It was Alex's recommendation. I didn't like how it came out either.

If you're going through insurance, (They're too expensive) there's a place in Chatsworth that did good on Scotts old silverstone perfect match day, night, or fluorescent light.

I'll try to get that info from him. It was from his first accident, before he totaled it and before hitting that poor old man.
Paul, it's not through insurance. I'd rather pay a little more from the get-go than taking it to another shop to get corrected. Do you still have my number?
[/quote]I don't have it anymore. text me at 818..9681445

The place is called Doug's Autobody. Does very good and expensive work and is in chatsworth

well the story goes like this... Or so from what I was told, The hardtops were molded off a real Mugen hardtop from some guy who used to work at shine automotive who recently started working for extreme dimensions... the top was apparently shaved and modified to fit exactly like the Mugen with the same dimensions... Wile that may or may not be true, obviously they or whoever originally made the tops did not let the FRP cure enough, nor did they add enough fiberglass to the mold thus making the hardtop to flexible in the front, I work as an engineer for the aerospace industry so I am VERY VERY familiar with the FRP production process as well as molds as it is used very commonly through out the aerospace industry... So it's not as if they can BS me there process or make any kind of excuses cause I will come down on them hard and embarrass them very much so....

EDIT: although i would much rather this be a peaceful thing and just have my money returned because of an unsatisfactory product. I'm not one to publicly bash on a company nor degrade there products so let's just hope there customer service goes over smoothly...

I don't understand why you left with one on your car with your knowledge.

Return it. Don't compromise. Don't take your S so there is no chance in getting hustled...again.

A simple return is what you're there for. Don't even bother telling them you work in the aerospace industry. It's like telling someone you lost your Gucci wallet, not just you lost your wallet.
