Default HFC with stock exhaust or UK mod

Anyone in the OC or LA area have a high flow cat with a stock exhaust or with a UK modded exhaust? Thinking about this combo but not sure how it'll sound. I found some clips of test pipes but no HFCs, at least not with a stock exhaust.

If someone near cerritos has a UK mod with testpipe I'd love to hear it in person also.

Test pipe will not add much if any noise difference to the stock exhaust. I would do the UK mod, several videos of it on youtube.

I am running straight pipe with the UK mod and its very sweet sounding... yet no drone. Virtually stock sounding around town, only big difference is when your on it...

if it's just sound you're after, do the UK mod. i have a HFC w/a stock exhaust. felt a noticeable performance gain, but exhaust note is a little tinny/raspy now. i'm going to do the UK mod eventually too because i want to keep the stock exhaust (until i supercharge the car, if that ever happens).

Testpipe with stock exhaust sounds good.

Testpipe with UK mod is even better. And no drone on both set ups!

contact me if you want to hear how it sounds. But I had 3 set up with UK mod.

Let say Stock exhaust+stock cat noise @0/10

1. UK mod+stock cat noise @4/10 no smell
2. UK mod+test pipe noise @10/10 smell horrible
3. (current) UK mod+HFC noise @8/10 no smell

Performance it hard to explain it in writing. If you near cerritos then come to the 562 meet tonight. I'll prob be there, if not pm me I can give you more detail.

What would an exhaust leak have to do with smell? You can have an exhaust leak and no smell if it's behind the cat. You cannot physically remove the cat and have no smell, that's why the cat is there.

Lol, you can have an exhaust leak in front of the cat and not smell it as well if the leak is small.

True... but in this case the guy was saying if you have a smell you'd have an exhaust leak. And referring to a test pipe.

Anyway, thanks for a member here I was able to listen to a HFC with a UK mod. Loved the sound, I'm planning on doing the same setup. Sounds very nice and clean.
